Mist and fog coat the Nihonjin mountain landscape and Zen permeates every moment. I am totally blessed to be able to live this life and have the opportunity to serve like this. Spirit warms my heart and people innocently awaken my humanity. Japan offers a broadening breath to my already full life – all my relations here in a beautiful rhythm that speaks gently to my soul, reminding of who I am. I become renewed through the contact, a great sense of humility and gratitude. I am reminded that I can never understand another deeply enough or appreciate them fully – love this. It is a beautiful world and as one of my close friends says, a great life awaits for those who can have and live it. See you soon ~ Gary

I have a habit of finding my meditation in the deep purple of night, a throwback from waking at three a.m. for morning meditation. I had a strong conversation with Spirit about taking back my medicine from places that I had left it. It was a very potent listening and journeying – I am sure that the deep purple time helped. The middle of classic dream time is a great moment to journey consciously and tune in (hard to remember). After my download and resurrecting experience I heard Spirit say -

“now that you are feeling reclamation and you are remembering yourself and hearing how to go forward and what you need to do,

Don’t get lost in Other People’s Dreams“.

It felt like manna from heaven – often potent things are. We lose ourselves in the world around us all the time. I mean, we are not the world around us, just part of it. From politics to economics to war, not to mention famous people, we lose ourselves so easily. We begin to think the thoughts of the culture and become too much of it. Then there are our friends, family, workers, bosses, lovers, enemies, churches, dogs, cats, substances, experiences and all the things we either love or hate that it is so easy to give our energy to and become lost to. We are truly not any of these things and, as the external becomes louder and more striking, we loose bits of our way/potency and it becomes so easy to loose ourselves to external reality and be living the dreams of those things for good or bad.

I actually think that this process of getting lost is quite natural – I don’t think I have ever just been with it the same way so succinctly over time. We don’t even know we are in the dream field of these things around us and we are living those dreams. (Now, you might say that you like living in other people’s places or things/dreams and maybe that is even a way for us to help cultivate our own dreams. I would have to agree because everything has its own intelligence and reason for existing and so does this loosing oneself story). And over time of doing this our soul becomes remotely tethered to things that do not actually nourish it. The things that nourish our own soul are the things of our own dreams – our own garden if you like. We need our own way to help us get back and remember who and what we are so that we can find our way to do what we need to do that honors the uniqueness of our own channel here on the planet.

To me that is being a spiritual warrior and describes a path that is uncommon. I think that it takes more and more discipline to extricate oneself from the onslaught and find the spiritual shower to cleanse and renew the soul. Having a practice or way – a set of behaviors with nature and your body seems like a good start, and trying to be in the moment of your life and meet it is very potent.

Everything that shows up in your life in the present moment is the opportunity to meet yourself on the road of your own unique spiritual unfolding and the way to find the reclamation. How perfect it can be when we find the potency of life in the very present and it wakes us to ourselves and who we are. I think we are all clamoring to become more of ourselves through the Maya of life, to find ourselves through the illusions of other people’s dreams and discover the hero’s journey, resurrecting what has been lost or buried, releasing what is inessential and taking back the potent self from the within to the without.

I have adopted a thought/philosophy that the very best thing we could do while we are here is to find our way and that is all everyone is trying to do anyway. Whether that is accurate or not it works for me and I am sticking to it. When I am on the road in my way, I am one happy camper, excited about living each day and each moment.
Thank you Great Spirit and all the guides and supporters of this way/channel. I am deeply grateful for the wake-up in the deep purple. ~Gary

I think new beginnings are a good way to look at our lives. Every day, every moment we get up and start all over again. Literally everything we do even, if we have done it before, is new and fresh in that moment if we find what the Buddhists call beginner’s mind. BM is a gift if you can find it. Heaven and Earth are open to the child, the fool and those of us lucky enough to be in the moment as if it were brand new. Which according to modern physics is a consistent principle, that each moment is the entirety of the universe from a new perspective. Deepak Chopra postulates that it is us who are making the next moment seem like the ones that came before.

I think we are experts at bringing our past references into the current moment to navigate the human experience – after all it is one of our skills of survival and we are surviving. And it is also within us to have a direct experience in the moment as if it were just unfolding in that moment. When I teach this as a process I often say that it would be great if our past were a resource that informed the present. Then we would be free to have a more open experience in the present. I also think it helps to know who you are and what you are about and where life is beckoning – but that is another discussion.

We are stepping into a brand new time on the Earth. To me, in the openness of my consciousness it feels like a time of incredible potential. It seems like everything we were thinking as a whole is a bit incorrect. Where we put our attentions and importance is a little skewed. There is a ripple in time/space and the relativity of reality is showing. I think this kind of shift brings up all of our issues. Whatever it is for you – its probably up. I think as a wise old teacher once said to me – not to worry, it’s all ok, just another moment in the unfolding of the universe.

The question I have been contemplating that gives me traction and purpose with all of this is, where is it and or how is it that I would like to give my consciousness to my experience on a regular basis? How do I want to be with what I am experiencing and what is it that I would like to give my energy to? These are the tools that help me to have the kind of experience I am having, or not. How would you like to be experiencing your life right now and what would you like to give your energy to? These are intimate questions that best come from your own clear mind. ~Gary

Challenging to just live let alone live a good and integruous way. I just taught a wonderful three day class on holding Space and communications. How to do nothing or very little with intelligence and help people to process according to how they really need to. It is challenging to know how anyone including ourselves needs to process their energy and come to integration in life.

Perhaps it can only be appreciated in hindsight. We want and hope so much for our clients and relations and often our wanting and hoping is a kind of pushing. I had the opportunity to explore with my students and teachers as well as teacher trainees how to hold the space for another in a way that naturally creates an energetic environment where they can get what they need the way they need to get it in there own process timeline.

It was a very elegant four days and for me having such willing and open people to be with on this journey is a deep gift that enriches my life for days/weeks/months to come. That is what a good field creates – and then i contemplate how to nurture the field. To all of those who continue to go on this journey with me I am deeply honored . And to be able to keep pursuing this way I am grateful and humbled. Thank you to the known and unknown resources that support and guide this unfolding.

I was sharing in a class how traveling has given me the opportunity to live my vision of the work that I do. I was also sharing that every time I go somewhere it becomes a journey/event that moves my life. I am sure I came from Nomadic origins – I love the feeling of opening to the next chapter – this has been part of my way to bring what I have to new people and continue the development with people who have stayed with me over the years.

it has been deeply rewarding and continues to be even as I contemplate doing less of it these days. It is a part of my practice to continually open new doors. I had a vision of doing this over thirty years ago while journeying through the himalayas and it has never stopped unfolding.

Whenever I do a teaching and hold space individually and collectively for growth, development and unfoldment I experience the vision of the work.

I receive so much conscious and visceral visioning through doing what I am doing with people. So in this last trip I got a bit clearer on the journey and some of the next steps. I was sharing with my advanced students In an energetic Business class that we have to chop wood and carry water to honor our Visionary Intent (and they say you always teach what you have to learn). I also shared that I am a reluctant visionary – I am careful and even holding back when it comes to setting new intentions, because once you set it it puts in place all the events and necessary to change your vibrational.

It is clear tho that I have in my hands a new intention to create a Master Level Polarity Training program that for our school in Arizona – Southwest Institute of the Healing Arts – SWIHA. I think this is the first time I have written this on paper – uh oh here we go. I actually have been working on it for a while and just taught a new class Advanced Clinical Energetics that will become a series of it. It was a class on the development of Clinical energetic skills to deal with the conditions that clients are presenting.

I believe it went really well and could feel how it could progress into a whole track. You know when you hear yourself complaining about something over and over again and it has passion well, then your in trouble because it means you will have to do something about it. So I heard myself say that so much of our education is about learning and application of principles and very little of it is about how to get it into the world so that it can work for you and help you to live in the visionary intent of your soul’s purpose (this is actually a journey that needs a great deal of resource and activation).

We do it a bit in classes in our program and it is time to make a deeper commitment to it. We actually teach a great deal of these things as electives and putting it together in a mastery tract will honor the work and help the practitioner take it to the next level. I have spoken with practitioners/teachers and administrators about it and now I have written it – Now its time to chop the wood and carry the water.

Back in Topanga woke to the early morning sun gently piercing through a field of fog. Back from japan two weeks still not back – even as I walk the dogs this morning in gratitude for where I am and all that I have Japanese healing guides whisper to me through a zen filter of green leaves and moist air – heaven and earth are. We are so filled with life and moments open and expand when we pause in our motion and appreciate whatever it is

At the end of my Nihonjin stay I was doing sessions Locco Mountain, Kobe overlooking the bay and islands of the sea of Japan, a typhoon came up and battered the trees and buildings reminding me of the trauma that had passed through and was experiencing in the bodies of the people who were coming for sessions.I got word that My good and dear friend Tom Griffiths was dying at that very moment back in the U.S. A young woman who I had trained for many years and had been volunteering to work with tsunami and quake victims came for a session.

She couldn’t sleep and was filled with pain and trauma in her own body from touching all the people she did polarity sessions with. We gently opened her space to let her energy breathe and one by one the traumas left her body – mind – field. She began sobbing – her breath eased and tensions dissipated – her guides and ancestors were happy as she reclaimed her space and came back to her deeper self being nourished through heaven and earth. The Typhoon seemed to become still – we were in the eye – everything was suspended in time and space.

She hugged me hard and thanked me from the bottom of her soul with tears of Joy and let me know she was ready to go back out and continue her work – Tom passed – and I felt that all was well in the world in those moments. Arrigatou Nihonjin Watashiwa genki des – oneguyshimasu – watashiwa arroukitai
